I live a couple of towns over from Cambria. It’s one of my favorite spots on our Central Coast to relax by the sea. I love the unique beauty of the pine forests too.
Until recently, Cambria was the southern town along Highway 1 that all the Big Sur visitors stopped in.
The storms washed out a huge bridge, so now the area is more isolated until they fix the bridge. Driving south, you have to take the 101 to 46 west to get there.
I take a lot of pictures, tourist style sometimes, and post the best ones on this site with a few words. I think a decent Cambria fan site should have a current “things to do” list, so here’s…
My favorite things are a hike along Santa Rosa Creek in Fiscalini Ranch Preserve
If you keep an eye out, you can find your way down to the creek. The trail runs right along it. I had a little picnic down there are couple weeks ago. It’s one of my favorite quiet spots. I’ve always loved creek areas.
927 Beer Company in West Village is brewing some good stuff, so I’ll grab a pint there, too.
Other than that, I hit the beach or find a new chunk of trail to explore. Here are a few more of my favorite random pics of Cambria.
This is a new artist shop called The Nest Gallery. I think it used to be called The Wise Owl.
Even the trashcans and recycling look cool and blend in some nature! I like.
I really like this cafe up the hill in East Village. Check it out. They look lonely!
